About dotSport

registry.sport and life.sport, dotSport LLC's two affiliates, capitalize on the convergence of three global phenomena:
  • fans' deep, abiding, emotional devotion to sports, "their" teams and athletes;
  • the social networking upsurge; and
  • digital data proliferation on the Internet.
The objective of registry.sport is to attain the right to manage the new top-level domain .sport under the authority granted by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).  As .mobi is dedicated to providing for mobile web sites for millions of mobile phones, .sport is intended to convert vast, untapped opportunities on the Internet into profit centers for sports federations, associations, clubs, leagues, teams and athletes the world over - amateur and professional alike. .sport domain names will be available for registration by the broad spectrum of the sports community.  This means that the market reaches from pro teams at the top, down to individuals that play a particular sport to their own capability and choose to register their own .sport domain name.

.sport domains will host sports content only - representing a clear and unmistakable area on the Internet where everyone, everywhere, will know exactly what type of content they can expect to find.  As the Internet matures over the coming decade and beyond, ICANN will continue the logical expansion of the name space.  New top-level domains ("TLDs") such as .sport will take on evermore relevance because of the need for simple navigation and surety.

Content encourages engagement - engagement enables monetization

life.sport is a social network/digital media platform that enables monetization of every .sport domin name holder's digitized media assets, merchandise and memorabilia to the benefit of that domain name registrant.

life.sport provides an aggregation platform for streaming video, images and any other digitized content, including user-posted offerings, within specific, partitioned "community" sections (i.e., an athlete's, team's, league's, club's, association's or federation's exclusive Internet space).  It then offers that content along with state-of-the-art Web 2.0 services to the world's sports fans.

It establishes community and communications across mobile and broadband technology platforms within any sports team's fan base. life.sport also monetizes unused and underutilized assets by converting them into digital profit centers for .sport registrants - professional and amateur alike - the world over.
